This neuroinclusive book club, led by Alanna Dutra, a licensed speech-language pathologist, and Sheila Henson, a neurodiversity coach/educator, uses Dr. Devon Price's Unmasking Autism as a starting point for exploring the autistic experience from an autistic perspective. Over 8 sessions, participants will explore the masking and unmasking process required to curate an authentically neurodivergent life. They will also build authentic neurodivergent community, increase self-advocacy skills, challenge autistic stereotypes, practice asking for the accommodations they need, set boundaries with confidence, and reframe past misunderstandings through a neurodiversity-affirming lens. As a group we will dive into the autistic experience, and explore opportunities to make the world around us more neuroinclusive.

We will meet via Zoom from 8:00pm - 9:30pm on Thursdays and run for 8 weeks. The dates are: 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10. We appreciate people coming for all 8 weeks. Participants will need to provide their own copy of the book. 

The cost is $175*/session. Each client is granted one absence at no charge. Additional absences will incur a $50 fee to continue to hold your place in the group. We require a credit card to be on file.

If you have a formal diagnosis and live in CA, WA, or OR, you can receive a superbill to submit to your insurance and you may be elligible for out of network reimbursement.
